Bar Vinyl in Camden, London has been pioneering the presence of turntables in a club setting for some years. They approached me to paint the interior of the main bar during their extensive refit and re-opening late 2005.

The scene depicts a battle waged by the turntables to destroy all speakers. The work extends over the ceiling and also features a sublime colour scheme of beiges and greens. Some of the work employs anamorphic projection, a feature in a lot of my later works. This is where your eyes are fooled into thinking a flat plane, or a series of interconnecting planes are infact flat or of some other arrangement than what they actually are.

If you wish to find the place, head to Camden Town and find 6, Inverness Street. There's usually a street full of market stalls outside. You can also view a map online.
