My good friend Fly sent me to a website recently which showcased advanced and beautiful nanofabrication. Basically, very tiny, microscopic sculptures/scenes that are photographed in black and white through a microscope. The following link will take you to a page with plenty of images, one of which was bound to grab my attention, the M. C. Escher award.

The scene above is an actual photograph of a tiny chamber at 25 times magnification, taken in a mirror formed by electrons. You’ll have to read the explanation to make more sense of it…
