Chu painted this canvas inside the local arboretum (park) in Walsall. It was suggested that it was painted outdoor, assited by lighting conditions, for an BBC interview to publicise the SuperSonic Watercolours show. The process of painting a canvas from observation is one that has never seemed more appropriate for this piece. Almost using the world as your studio, or the streets. Many pavement artists and oil painters use public spaces to explore their artistic side.

The canvas took just over 1 hour to complete, the final film is time-lapsed over this hour and will soon become available on the BBC Black Country pages.
