To quote the from the official Game On website:
" From May to September 2002 the Barbican Art Gallery presented Europe’s largest ever gallery exhibition showcasing international leading talent and innovation within the multi-billion dollar creative games industry. The show presents a definitive overview of the past, present and future of games, from the earliest computer game through to the latest advances of blue-sky technologies and thought controlled interaction. Much of the show invites audience participation through a ground-breaking exhibition designed to transform the gallery space into a dynamic, experiential and interactive comfort-zone.

The various de-mountable components of Game On occupy a space from 500 – 1000+ sq meters. The exhibition features the earliest games computer, vintage arcade games and consoles, original games artworks, networked multi-player areas, profiles of key creatives from the UK, USA and Japan and a range of contemporary newly commissioned artworks from leading artists and designers"

Shelton Fleming were the consultants for the shows premiere at the fantastic Barbican in London. The brief for my commission was to decorate two 10metre long walls in the 'USA & European Games Culture' room, actually paint in the space. Chu was duely notified that he was the first person ever to have painted inside the Barbicam complex for this purpose.
