Firstly - to explain how the director came up with the film "Donnie Darko"
"...I had an idea about a jet engine falling on this house. I remembered an urban legend about a piece of ice that falls from a plane and kills people. Wasn’t there an episode of “Six Feet Under” where something like that kills? Frozen urine or something? It became a jet engine and it became this mystery of they can’t find the plane, and how do I solve the mystery, and it has something to do with time travel." - souced from www.about.com

A group of 12 UK graffiti artists were asked to contribute to a show celebrating the UK launch and premiere of 'Donnie Darko', a very different kind of movie experience. These artists were then called the 'They Made Me Do It' collective. The group had a total of four successful London exhibitions, co-sponsored by Ecko Clothing and the kind people at Freewheelin Media.

We all occupied an outdoor studio for a period of 6 hours, 28 minutes an 14 seconds on that first night. The paintings were then exhibited at Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes in Shoreditch, East London during the premiere evening of the movie. This particular image was improvised onto the ceiling of this venue and could only be viewed from a pair of rabbit foot prints in the corner by the bar.
