For the last few months I have been developing a blog space that shows off my extensive library of imagery. The best thing about it, is that you can cross-reference items with tags (or keywords),...
After the success of last years installation inside Walsall's town park, the arboretum, for the Walsall Illuminations - I was invited back to produce a new installation for this years show.
There were a few conditions, mainly that it was reusable and large-scale. I designed a lightbox system that would be fitted with LED lights, making each of the eighteen lightboxes 10ft wide by 4ft high and having a strip of lamps at the top and one at the bottom. All of the lamps were then choreographed to a piece of music specially written for the piece (with the help of Nobby from Munchbreak).
Walking the length of the installation (its 180ft long) takes just over 2 minutes and welcomes visitors by being the first piece on view when people enter the park.
The show lasts until 2nd December and you can visit www.walsall-lights.com for more info.
